In April i will be making my 10th trip to the desert for the Coachella Music & Arts Festival. It certainly has changed from the early days (more people, more days, 2 weekends!). With the increased popularity of the event it has negatively affected the vibe and the crowd. Back in the day Coachella was OURS — a mecca for those of us who truly loved MUSIC and used it as an opportunity to discover new and old artists. Today Coachella is THEIRS — a profitable behemoth of a festival filled with too many drunk bros and trashed young girls who only came to “party”…you’ll find most of them near the sahara tent, but sometimes they venture out and ruin it for the ones who came to Coachella to see live MUSIC. I’ve gotten used to the riffraff , but it’s always a buzzkill when you’re really enjoying something and those assholes who don’t care only come so they can “party”. Unfortunately, the past 2 years were a bit underwhelming (as a whole) but yet i keep coming back hoping for something magical and memorable to happen again. As the date approaches, i’ve been reminiscing about the most memorable moments i’ve had the privilege to experience at this event. Its those moments that keep me coming back to this ever-expanding music event. So to get myself pumped up for Coachella #10 i’ve been searching the internet for videos of those moments from the past…been adding them to this YouTube playlist…more will be added, but here it is
